Showering as a wound is healing or following surgery can be a challenge for many patients. Wounds risk getting infected, which delays recovery time. AquaGuard presents a solution: This disposable waterproof moisture barrier securely fits over the wound and dressing to keep the area dry, and it’s designed for use at home and in medical settings. How it Works To provide this performance, AquaGuard sheets stay in place with a unique medical adhesive. The waterproof sheet is easily applied, won’t detach while a patient is taking a shower and allows for gentle removal that won’t irritate the surrounding skin. Usage Each AquaGuard sheet measures 5 x 5.5 in., making it ideal for shielding: • Peripheral Lines • Hickman Catheters • Ports • Stomas • Pediatrics The actual area of coverage is 5" x 5.5" (12.5cm x 14cm). Please measure your site/dressing to make sure it fits within the actual area of coverage. One sheet is needed for each shower.
