Cutimed Sorbact Ribbon Gauze

Cutimed Sorbact Ribbon Gauze is an impregnated cotton gauze for wound filling and packing. Ideal for acute and chronic wounds including contaminated, colonized or infected wounds. Effective against all wound pathogens including MRSA and VRE. Traditional antimicrobial dressings use harmful chemicals to kill bacteria or fungi, leaving behind bacterial cell debris and endotoxins. This can significantly slow or disrupt the healing cycle. Cutimed Sorbact uses no chemical agents, only the physical property of hydrophobic interaction, to safely remove bacteria without cell death or negatively impacting the healing process. Step 3: Remove the dressing from the pouch using an antiseptic technique Step 4: If cutting the dressing, cut across using an antiseptic technique. Discard any open and unused dressings. Step 5: Apply the dressing. Ensure that the dressing comes into direct contact with the complete wound surface. Step 6: Line/fill the cavity or fistula. Avoid dense packing. Always leave a part of the dressing sticking out so it can be easily removed. Step 7: Apply an appropriate secondary dressing, like Cutimed Sorbion Border Step 8: The dressing can be left in for 7 days, but dressing change frequency depends on exudate levels and the overall condition of the wound.
