Once in place, InterDry® antimicrobial fabric dressings provide a moisture- and odor-management solution. Knit polyester absorbs perspiration and other secretions to help the skin stay dry and reduce friction, lessening the symptoms of intertrigo in the process, including lesions, itching, inflammation, maceration, denudement and erythema. As well, these latex-free, disposable moisture-wicking fabric dressings can help with decreasing risks for pressure ulcers, erosion and skin tears. Application delivers this action and degree of comfort for as long as five days. How InterDry® Antimicrobial Moisture-Wicking Fabric Works Commonly affecting skin fold areas like the armpits, abdominal area and underneath the breasts, intertrigo can cause redness, itching, burning and skin erosion. Advanced cases may develop bacterial, viral or fungal infections.
