Front rim can easily be used as a handgrip for stabilization and removal of bedpan. ID area for patient name, bed, room, etc. Rear overhang allows for added capacity while containing contents during transport. Available with or without the perfect cover-up - a polystyrene cover for shielding odors. Weight Capacity: 250 lbs (government standard). Weight that bedpans can hold as indicated is "deadweight" and not patient weight. Bedpan holds the weight of the patient's buttocks and mid-trunk of their body. The head, arms, legs and chest are supported by the bedding.
