Mepilex Border Ag Foam Dressing

Mepilex® Border Ag Foam Dressings provide an all-in-one solution for absorbing and holding onto exudate and creating a moist environment for optimal wound healing. Releasing silver sulphate particles, this antimicrobial foam dressing utilizes Safetac® technology to close off the wound's edges. This action prevents exudate from leaking from the dressing onto the surrounding skin, lessens the risk of irritation and maceration, and reduces damage to the wound and surrounding skin during removal. Benefits Inactivates Wound Pathogens: Upon application, the Mepilex® Border Ag dressing provides a sustained release of silver sulphate particles. This starts to inactivate pathogens within 30 minutes from application and continues to protect the wound for up to seven days. Supported by vitro testing, Mepilex® Border Ag dressings kill 99.9% of several types of bacteria. Reduces Microorganisms: Not only does this create an ideal healing environment for the wound, but this aspect further helps with reducing odor. Self-Adherent Construction with Safetac® Technology: Mepilex® Border Ag does not require a secondary dressing to remain in place, won't cause trauma to the patient's skin upon removal and lessens the incidence of pain.
