The StatLock Universal Plus Stabilization Device is designed to secure nearly all types of drainage catheters. By helping the catheter remain in place, the device assists with improving patient outcomes and quality of life and offers a more ergonomic solution. How it Works Each StatLock Universal Plus Stabilization Device includes a latex-free anchor pad with ventilation holes to help the skin breathe, a releasable device clamp, and a layer of hydrocolloid material that limits damage to the skin once in place. Once the StatLock Universal Plus Stabilization Device is secured, it helps prevent the drainage catheter from moving around: • More comfortable to wear: With an anatomical design, the material won’t tug at or irritate the skin, accommodates even heavily lubricated catheters, is more reliable than tape and allows for straightforward catheter release when needed. • Suture-Free Design: Free of sutures, the StatLock Universal Plus’s mechanical retainer can be used with biliary and nephrostomy drainage systems and peritoneal lavage catheters. • Improving outcomes: The innovative design is less likely to result in IV therapy complications and blood vessel damage, helps improve nursing efficiency and eliminates suture-related complications. • Better stability and catheter retention: The StatLock Universal Plus reduces catheter tip movement and provides more consistent IV placement compared to other methods.
