Therabond 3D Antimicrobial Contact Layer

TheraBond 3D Antimicrobial Systems are absorbent, post-operative dressings consisting of silver plated nylon 3-D fabric. TherAbond 3D provides an effective barrier to bacterial penetration for up to 7 days. In the presence of exudate the dressing will help maintain a moist wound environment. TheraBond 3D with unique SilverTrak technology provides the powerful combination of antimicrobial protection, adaptive fluid transport, and flexible strength. Rapid, controlled, and sustained release of ionic silver kills pathogens for up to 14 days. Unique capillary-like action transfers excess fluid and exudate into an absorbent outer dressing. Flexible strength of the fabric moves with the patient to minimize friction; durable design supports extended wear. Indications TheraBond 3D is indicated for use in light to moderately exuding partial and full thickness wounds including traumatic wounds, surgical wounds, donor sites, 1st and 2nd degree burns, as well as decubitus ulcers, diabetic ulcers and vascular ulcers. TheraBond 3D may be used over debrided and partial thickness wounds. Contraindications Do not use on patients with a known sensitivity to silver. Do not use on patients during MRI (Magnetic REsonance Imaging) examination. Prior to commencing radiation therapy remove TheraBond 3D. Apply a new TheraBond 3D Antimicrobial Barrier System following treatment.
