TRITEC Silver Dressings

Every Milliken TRITEC® dressing utilizes AFM® technology, which combines two layers of high-performance fabric, using a micro-knit process, to create a moisture transfer mechanism that pulls away and traps excess exudate. The combination of these fabrics keeps the wound bed moist, the periwound skin dry and harmful exudate away from a healing wound. TRITEC® Silver dressings combine the moisture management benefits of AFM® Technology’s three-part design with a proprietary ceramic silver ion technology. This powerful, controlled release of ionic silver inhibits a broad spectrum of infection-causing microbes, including antibiotic-resistant strains such as MRSA. The release of silver into the dressing is activated by the body’s own sodium and begins inactivating pathogens within 24 hours of dressing application. Antimicrobial activity is indicated for up to seven days.
