UrgoTul Ag/Silver can help restore contact layer with silver in both chronic and acute wounds. This product is a flexible, conformable polyester mesh contact layer bandage that delivers broad-spectrum antibacterial activity directly to the wound site. Made with TLC-Ag - a combination of fatty substances, hydrocolloid and silver salt particles - this product has been proven to reduce both inflammation and the presence of infectious microbes including MRSA to promote faster healing. Clinical tests have shown the removal of up to 99.9% of biofilms after only one day of UrgoTul Ag/Silver Contact Layer use. When in contact with wound exudate, the TLC-Ag of UrgoTul Ag/Silver transforms into a gel and creates a moist environment that encourages healing. This moisture retention also ensures non-adherence to the wound for pain-free dressing changes. When the silver salt is broken down in contact with the wound exudate, UrgoTul Ag/Silver acts as a reservoir capable of continuously releasing a bactericidal concentration of silver ions the entire time it remains in contact with the wound.
